Rosewood veneered box of architectural form, fashionable in the second phase of the neoclassical period. It is
cross-banded in kingwood which in turn is delineated with fine lines of contrasting woods. It stands on paw
feet and its pyramid top concludes in a plaque and handle, the round plaque with a pattern suggestive of
stylised flowers: daisy, sunflower, daisies.
The box has tapering shape with a gently sloping pyramid top which ends with a
small flat piece adorned with a handle typical of the Regency period. Circa 1815
