Detail: rounded edges in
alternating brass and rosewood having fine inlaid brass accents
depicting stylized neo-classical motifs. The brass corners
are inlaid and held in place by brass pins which have been ground
flush.

The orchestration of the
brass accents is symmetrical. The glittering brass contrasts with
the dark figured rosewood.
There is some veneer cracking
to the rosewood. which does not effect the structural integrity.
The figuring of the rosewood is a particular delight.
