Figured rosewood box with rounded edges in alternating brass and
rosewood having fine inlaid brass accents depicting stylized
neo-classical motifs . The box is of high quality, which continues into
the compartmentalized interior. There is a lockable side drawer of
dovetail construction fitted for jewelry. It is lined in velvet and
embossed leather. The box has its original leather covered lift-out
tray. There is a document wallet in the lid with a mirror behind.
Both the main lock and the drawer lock are working and have the same
key. Circa 1825
