Description: Ref: 743SB http://hygra.com/box/743SB/

Anglo-Indian (Vizagapatam) box in wood covered in horn, of sarcophagus form, with a segmented radiating
top culminating in a turned and carved floral finial. An Indian interpretation of English
Regency aesthetic. This is a small box which shows absolute mastery of design.
Origin: India (Vizagapatam) ;  Circa: 1840 ; Materials: buffalo horn on wood.

Size: 18.5 cm wide by 13 cm by 11cm:  7.3 inches wide by   5.1inches by   4.3 inches.

Condition: good overall for the type of work. There is a small patch on one of the facings and on
one of the sides. Tiny nip on one corner. Slight moving away on account of the nature of
the materials which do not always dry and shrink at the same rates; working lock and key; see images.
