The lift-out tray is compartmentalized
making the box suitable for either jewelry or sewing. It has been
recovered.

The sprung drawer is fitted for jewelry. The velvet lining and
leather covered divisions are original.

Beneath the tray which has been recovered with silvered paper, the
box is lined with embossed leather.

The box is edged with rounded solid ebonized wood.
