Description:
WB465: Writing box veneered in walnut circa 1875.
Writing box veneered in figured walnut with rounded brass surround and fine brass stringing. The brass acts both ad decoration and protection. The interior is veneered in ebonised wood. The writing surface is covered in the original gold embossed leather. There is a second lock to the flap and two secret drawers.
