Antique Chinese export lacquer tea chest decorated with two colours
of gold depicting scenes of Oriental life opening to a single
compartment containing two lidded pewter tea canisters with
supplementary inner lids, the whole chest standing on feet in the
form of stylized bats. Circa 1835.
Origin: Canton, China; Circa:
1835; Materials: Gold
decorated lacquer on wood; pewter liners.
Size: 25 cm wide by 18.5 cm by 15 cm:
9.8 inches wide
by 7.3 inches by 6 inches.
Condition: good
