Figured rosewood box with brass edging and stringing opening to a lift out tray lined with red leather lining. There is a document wallet in the lid behind a ruched velvet panel.

Origin: UK ; Circa: 1835 ; Materials: rosewood and brass on hardwood structure .

Size: 30.5 cm wide by 22 cm by 12.5 cm: 12 inches wide by 8.7 inches by 4.9 inches.

Condition: good overall; working lock and key; see images

The box opens to a compartmentalized interior with a lift out tray.

The box is edged with rounded brass which provides both strength and protection.
