The flap on the inside top lid retains the original leather complete
with fine gold embossed decoration in the neoclassical tradition. It
opens down to an 'envelope'

The box has been lined with
velvet making it suitable for jewelry.

Inside
the original tray has been fitted with additional velvet pads.
