The interior without the lids or the small central tray. The right well
under the lids is deeper and empty. The other side has two supports for the small tray too.

certainly the lock is French.
The top edges of the divisions which are made of mahogany have
rounded rosewood facings.

The dovetail constructed side drawer. It opens by pulling the handle. The bottom has been fitted with velvet
covers. The red leather of the divisions is original.
