Description:
Antique sewing box veneered with mahogany, the top having a central panel of darker color framed by a mitered border of lighter color and contrasting figure, the inside being fitted for sewing with compartments for thread. 

Origin: UK

Circa:1800

Materials: Mahogany veneer on a pine structure.

Size: 25.4cm wide by 19.8cm by 12cm: 10  inches wide by  7.8 inches by  4.7 inches.

Condition: Good overall with working lock and key

The box retains 20th c sewing materials including several reels with thread and instructions hand written instructions for knitting.
