            Description:Ref: H101 Research.
Papier mâché  box  painted with as yet unidentified scenes of
battle  from mid  to late 19th C, between French and
English.  Calligraphy in  Arabic script. This is a
research project. More information will be added as it becomes
            available. please write to research@hygra.com
if you know any of the scenes.  The bridge at one end of the
box is clearly iconic! It is the Bridge of Sighs in Venice the
"Ponte dei Sospiri". The bridge was built in the 17th C by
Antonio Contino connects the Old Prisons to the interrogation rooms
in the Doge's Palace. Lord Byron is credited with giving this name
            in the 19th C.
 I now have rough translation
of some of the Persian caligraphy:
         "... the war between
British (army) in Hengan(?) -never heard- port and china army waiting
        towards the sea...

        "
         "the
war between British and non British in Portsmouth which is a village in
England something something from sea..." cant read that bit
