Hygra jb209: A Regency figured rosewood
box, circa 1810, by Chrisp manufacturer, of Cockspur Street
and New Bond Street,
London. The top has ebony edges and a brass plate; the sides
have inset brass carrying handles. The box also has a drawer of dovetail
construction which is fitted for jewelry and separately locked. The upper part
has a liftout tray which is covered with tooled leather. The tray has a supplementary
lid containing modern silver handled manicure tools.
