Description:
A figured walnut box, the top with a chamfered edge veneered with
contrasting ebony inlaid with a white-metal line, the inside lined with
mahogany and having a divided liftout mahogany tray.
Origin: UK
Circa: 1860.
Size: 29.6 cm wide by 23.2 cm by 12.5 cm: 11.7 inches wide by 9.13 inches
by 4.9 inches.
Condition: Good
clean condition, working lock and key.

The inside of the box is
lined with mahogany.

The escutcheon is brass framed with alternating ebony
and brass lines; there is a brass plate inlaid in the top with the same
framing.
