JB 175: A rosewood
veneered box, with brass surround. The figure of the rosewood is strong. It
contrasts well with the brass which serves both as a decorative as well as a
strengthening feature. In the lid there is a document wallet. The box has
a lift out tray; some of the spaces have supplementary lids Circa 1840. Back to main page | Request current list of available Jewelry boxes. |
