Antique brass edged Rosewood box Circa 1840.

Description:
A rosewood veneered box, with brass surround. The figure of the rosewood is strong. It contrasts well with the brass which serves both as a decorative as well as a strengthening feature.  In the lid there is a document wallet. The box has a lift out tray; some of the spaces have supplementary lids.

Origin: United Kingdom.

Circa: 1840

Materials:

Size: 27.3cm wide by 20.1cm by 11.7cm:  10.8 inches wide by  7.9 inches by  4.6 inches.

Condition: Good overall, working lock and Key
