Description:
A rosewood veneered
box, with brass surround. The figure of the rosewood is strong. It
contrasts well with the brass which serves both as a decorative as well
as a strengthening feature. In the lid there is a document wallet.
The box has a lift out tray; some of the spaces have supplementary lids.
Origin: United
Kingdom.
Circa: 1840
