Description:
Antique box
veneered in strongly figured coromandel, with brass edging,
central plate. It is high quality, made by Briggs,
Manufacturer, of 27 Piccadilly London which continues into the
interior. It is lined in velvet, silk and gold embossed leather. It has
a lift-out tray and sprung drawer.
The box
has a working lock and key.
Origin: United Kingdom
Circa: 1840
Materials:
coromandel,
mahogany and brass.
Size: 30.5
cm wide by 22.5 cm by 17.3 cm: 12 inches wide by 9 inches
by 6.8 inches.
Condition: good
overall.

in the lid. The front is ruched velvet surrounded by gold embossed
leather.
