Description:
JB445: Figured Rosewood box edged in rounded brass circa 1850.  A three layered box with a lift out tray and a sprung side drawer. The tray has been fitted with velvet covers in order to protect the original surface whilst making the interior easier to use. The fold-down ‘envelope’ on the lid retains its original ruched velvet and gold embossed leather framing. The rounded brass accents and protects the box and gives the corners a nice finish. Crack on veneer on top. Working lock and key.

Origin: UK

Circa: 1850

Size: 30.2 cm wide by 22.5 cm by 12.5 cm: 11.9  inches wide by  9.9 inches by  4.9 inches.

Condition:  good over all; working lock and key: see photos.
