Description:
JB305: Antique box veneered with highly figured walnut, the top and front having a central panel framed by a crossbanding of straight grained walnut and having an inlayed brass line, the box opening to a velvet (replacement) lined liftout  tray. The inside of the lid is lined with lined with red satin which is button padded. There is a countersunk carrying handle to the top. The box is edged with ebony and has a working lock and key.  Circa 1890.

Size: 30.5 cm wide by 24 cm by 15.3 cm:  12 inches wide by  9.5 inches by  6 inches.

Condition: Good overall, The tray has been relined.
