Description:
JB401: A Box veneered in well figured walnut and inlaid with parquetry to the top and front.  Inside is the original tray  which has been relined. circa 1880.

Origin: UK

Circa: 1880

Size: 30 cm wide by 22 cm by 14 cm: 11.8 inches wide by  8.6 inches by  5.6 inches.

Condition: good over all, working lock and key, the tray and box has been relined

The parquetry is din rosewood ebony and maple and results in almost three dimensional pyramids. The box is further enhanced with a rounded  crossbanding of  tulipwood.
